So I decided the answer was something I can see, and I'm just starting a 500 EFL build, with Helicommand.

I read somewhere on HF that 700 landing gear make good training gear on a 500. Any thoughts on that compared to regular training gear? From the teaching videos I've seen, one of the big advantages I see for training gear is the easy visual references for the attitude of the heli.

Thanks and regards.

Forward flight is easy compared to hovering. Once you get orientation down it will all fall into place.
