I'm in the process of learning to repair--I mean fly--an MCPX. My orientations are OK, but I have trouble with circuits because the thing is so small that flying against a background of trees and hill, I just lose sight of exactly which way it's facing or how much it's leaning. So I decided the answer was something I can see, and I'm just starting a 500 EFL build, with Helicommand.
I read somewhere on HF that 700 landing gear make good training gear on a 500. Any thoughts on that compared to regular training gear? From the teaching videos I've seen, one of the big advantages I see for training gear is the easy visual references for the attitude of the heli. Thanks and regards. |

Forward flight is easy compared to hovering. Once you get orientation down it will all fall into place.
