2012 Hoosier Heli Rumble - Lafayette Indiana

All,

Mark you calendars again for the 2012 Hoosier Heli Rumble in Lafayette Indiana.

Date: July 13 - 15, 2012

Registration: $25.00 and this includes a pilot raffle and a catered meal on Saturday night.

The Rumble as it has been known, is focused on flying (5-6 Flight Stations) and turning rotors with some of the nicest people in the hobby.

More Information to follow, but wanted to make sure everyone had the date.

The Field is located next to the Lafayette City Golf Course

Hey enadj15...I am hearing conflicting reports if there is room for RV's? I thought I asked someone about this before while at an event a few weeks ago.and was told "yes" no problem. Is there on site RV camping allowed? This is the deciding factor if Jenni and I come from Muncie on Friday afternoon and stay through Sunday...or we just do a day trip on Saturday...

Greg, i answered your email. The Park's Dept. said No RV camping this year at least at night its fine for in the day there is a homeless problem they are camping along the trail that runs behind the field. So in there effort to enforce security they dont want us staying either. Im not even sure if the boy scouts will be camping down there this year.

So we as the club understand if you cannot come for these factors no problem.

I will also mention there is RV camping 4 miles away @ Prophetstown State Park. They have Full and Partial hookup i drove back it was very nice.

Thurs. - Sat for Full was $32.41 nightly. Electric only $22 and change.

The club has also changed the meal this year no big catered job. I also was told registration has dropped to $15. There will be food available all day but i think they said pizza's or sandwiches. Kinda undecided.
