They are shady...pure and simple. We may be over reacting in some ways, but good communication would have solved this issue. I have had problems with them in the past when I received a defective battery.

If an individual seller acted in this manner, they probably would have been banned from the website. 1/3 of a year is far too long for excuses. I know they spend money to advertise, but the people on this forum are good people and we deserve better. I hope Will sees this and does the right thing.

GensAce batteries have really been a positive step for electric helicopters. We need to find a way to get another distributor. This would be the best for all Helifreaks:-)

Will, please help!!

I second the motion for a new supplier. Maybe he was just trying to get us off his back. But I have talked with him before and he gave straight up answers. More people need to send emails to Gens ace about this. I have already sent one.

While I agree they really need to step up their communication game and get a way to estimate when stock will be in...I do also have to say that so far I have had nothing but good luck ordering from them. I had about 6-8 orders with them in the past, the most recent just got here yesterday. Everything I ordered was good and arrived extremely quickly. So I wouldn't consider them "shady", just "extremely non-service-oriented." Maybe I will change my tune the first time I have to contact them on something being wrong or defective, but so far so good.

I'm very sure they are better then the one I've ordered 4 months ago from HobbyPartz and still haven't received, the only problem is they are also 3x the price.

I just wise HobbyPartz would get their act together what ever the case may be and get our orders filled that by all rights they should have eather already filled months ago or substituted the next better battery to make the customer happy and loyal.

Have any of you guys filed BBB complaints?

I'm not going to get into the BS I've delt with hobby fartz/xHeli/nitro planes.

Worst customer service with an online retailer I've ever had. Period.

Regarding hobby king.... Over $3K spent with them with ZERO issues.
#1 rule with hobby king... DO NOT BUY BACK ORDERED GOODS. If it says in stock, Ur going to get it. That's been my luck thus far. If you buy out of stock or back order... You're going to wait. I've never had an order where ALL items were in stock take longer than 3 days to ship.

Damn shame, I really wanted to try the gens ace, but absolutely refuse to buy from that company.

Love the avatar man. Viva la Rothbard.

HK from China is way slow, especially if it's a JIT order.
I'm waiting on a couple of HK450pro kits and some support equipment that I ordered a month ago.
They have a USA warehouse that should be a lot faster...and cheaper in the end.
It took me a while to catch on that mt CC was charging me for international transactions, and quite a bit too.
Throw in international shipping and the great prices are not quite as great. And the wait sucks.

I bought my EXI from xheli. It was missing the gear and they sent it out. Took a couple of weeks but I didn't have to chase it.
My EXI came pretty fast as I recall too.
I just ordered a couple more GY48's and some other stuff yesterday and have a tracking # sent just a few minutes ago.

Yeah...It's not just the batteries. I've had similar experiences ordering fiberglass blades. They showed in stock when I placed my order, I received an order confirmation and then an out-of-stock notice, and then a shipment notice. When I checked the web site, my order showed as back-ordered.

I asked a couple of questions about it via e-mail. Their e-mail turnaround time was about eight days each time. I finally canceled my order.

I've inquired about other items showing out of stock as well. The responses I have gotten are variants of what others have posted:
Quote:
Out of stock items usually take 2-4 weeks to be back in stock and available for purchase. Most of our packages are currently withheld with United States Customs waiting to be release;therefore we do not have an estimated time. I do apologize for the inconvenience.
and again, asking about another item:
Quote:
Thank you for your inquiry, I do apologize for the inconvenience at the moment we don't have a time frame but we always update our web site every morning. Most of our shipments should be in this month though April.
This was in February.

I don't care whose fault it is. I just want to fly, so I'm going to need to find a different supplier. I only ordered from them in the first place because Thalios provided a link in the B450 bible.

Hobbypartz. Please give us something here. Pretending like customer don't exist is sad.

That is a piss poor excuse. I don't know how they receive their shipments, but I worked for a company where 90% of our products were made over seas in China, Thailand, Korea, and the Philippines. Some from our own manufacturing facilities in China (about 60% of the goods) and the other 40% from outside vendors from mainland China, and the other countries listed. We received on average 3-5 containers a week, as well as LTL shipments, and plain-ol-boxes from DHL. Maybe one out of 10 DHL brown box packages were held up in customs, usually because some dope head didn't have the right paperwork in the box or packing slip. Even then it was 24 MAYBE 48 hours wait.

I would have to assume, with all the large boxes they receive (plane kits, batteries, etc) that they are receiving half containers or something. I can't remember when a container was held up by customs. If it was, 99% of the time it was a simple paperwork issue and was fixed rather quickly.

I can tell you however jack-asses in customer service would LIE to customers and tell them customs held stuff up all the time. Whatever excuse would put a customer off for another week because somebody didn't order something, or whatever it was, It was poor service, and one reason why I left the company.

No surprise that they have an F rating... Alteast XHeli does.

BBB only matters if they are a member and even then the BBB has no power
if any thing call local PD were they are based and make a fraud complaint
