Had it all together and programmed the radio and my ar7200bx. Spooled it up without blades and it all looked good. So put the blades on it and slowly spooled it up. Was just getting light on the skids when the heli made a very quick 180 degree rotation and rann the tail rotor through some grass. I quickly shut down and check the heli to find the front drive gear with a few missing teeth.

Oh well. Pretty sure my tail heading hold gyro was reversed and that is what caused the spin, will look more into it soon. Just need to get a new front drive gear now....

thats annoying, its worth putting some grease on those plastic gears aswell to keep em in good shape (literally)
i grease mine every 10 or so flights, front and rear umbrellas

Got it fixed. Replaced the front drive gear and put a tiny dab of grease on the umbrella gears. And it hovered beautifully. Seems to just float in the air and i love the size. Going to a larger field tonight so i can get a real flight in.

Hey there Mobster! I'm just in the process of converting my 550 fbl to a 600. Shortly I'll be a member of your club too. Judging from your background pic it looks like you live in West Kelowna? Let me know, I own a home there and fly right by the pool on the west side. Maybe we can meet up
