Servo Upgrade

Does the G210 Gyro get the job done or are people upgrading that as well. It looks like Eflite has a pretty nice gyro there. I was thinking of trying one on my Trex 450 clone.

It is decent, but has issues with backwards flight.

Good beginner to intermediate gyro.

Ummm correct me if I'm wrong The BeastX is the gyro on the 450X not the G210!

You are correct. The AR7200BX acts as the gyro for the 450X.

But I think he was asking about the gyro on the B450 3D which is the G210.

Has anyone tried the Solar servos from Hobbypartz? The D654 looks like a good fit for the 450.

Looks good but t super slow servo.

The DS76T is the tail servo not the cyclic servo. The DS76 has a speed of 0.11 at 4.8 volts while the Solar servo has a speed of 0.12 at 4.8V. I can't imagine you would notice a difference.

If they are anything like their big brothers the 5010 and the 6080G, they should be awesome!

I actually prefer spektrum servos to hitec servos. Seems better built (body) and are generally more torquy.

How do they hold up compared to the hitecs otherwise? Translation: in a crash

I'll take one for the team. Ordered 3. Now to find a descent tail servo. The OEM is fast.

Yeah, I've already got 2 out of 3. Picking up the third tomorrow. Just trying to reinforce my impulse buy

I've actually had no trouble with the OEM tail servo so I will just run it till I do. It's the only servo that hasn't been rebuilt at this point.

@distructor I am running Spektrum H3000's on my 450x.
I had two H3000's on hand so I threw them in the 450X after I destroyed the stock servos on a minor blade strike - They hold up well and are priced good. I ordered 3 more as back-ups.

3020 is a lighter weight, lower torque, but slightly faster servo. The H3000 is a perfect match for the DS76 servos as far as speed goes and actually higher torque. They are almost twice the weight since they are ball-bearing with full metal gears. In total about 34 grams more for a set IIRC. Also has a cored motor and an aluminum middle body section to act as a heatsink.

The set I bought was $35 which is the same price as the HS-5065MGs but it's a better servo as far as paper is concerned. Hopefully they handle themselves in a crash as well as the HS-5065MGs too. Such is my hope.

If I am off base someone please enlighten me. Always room upstairs to learn

I figured I would bring this thread back as im about to buy some new servos for my bird. Im thinking of getting the H3000. Should I upgrade my tail servo too? It didnt get damaged in the crash. And if so which speky should I get? I wish i could get the mks but spending 3/4 the price i spent on the whole heli just for servos doesn't make sense. Or should I just get the Hitec? ahhhhh decisions decisions...

I've had 2 crashes on the h3000s now and they are holding up great. Broke a servo arm but I just flipped it over and used the other side. Thinking about upgrading the tail servo though cuz I get wag in backwards flight

Yeah, hobbypartz doesn't have anything I want in stock. I was looking for some servos, blades, batteries and power supply. All out of stock and for a long time now. WTF?
