I think it's a great ideal, assembly V baging / instructions, has to save some money for bling.

It will finally silence the Align fan boys, and I get carbon fiber and CNC and HH get's a new market. win , win , win

I'd have bought a kit if it was cheaper OR had better parts. A 450X "Basic" kit for $300 or so would have been nice or a "Pro" kit which includes all the bling like everyone suggested.

Plus I can find parts for it locally and the HH support is great. Not like it matter if it comes as a kit or BNF. The first time you crash it you essentially make a "Kit" anyways.

That is true! I just got finished replacing the main frame on my mcx2 and am about to replace the one on my MSXR as soon as it gets here from rakonheli! It is almost equivelant to watch building for me and my neanderthal type hand dexterity...lol.

The biggest benefit of assemble, bind, and fly comes right after the first crash serious enough to break blades or bend a feathering shaft. You already know how to disassemble, repair, and reassemble the bird.

I'm guessing that, for most of us, that happens within the first 10 minutes of proud stick time.

Just realized that this would tick my LHS off to no end. He has a hard enough time keeping at least one BnF or RTF in stock. Seems which ever one he doesn't have is the one that someone walks in wants.

Maybe the Blade helicopters should come with instructions manuals as if they are kits but still come assembled. That way they are ready to go out of the box and set up right but when you crash and need to take it apart you have the instructions to show you how to do it.

Something bigger that is CP is a lot more complicated and a little more indepth. Measurements of links, pitch angles, blade tracking, gyro set up's, seed controller settings, pinion and gearing ratio's are all in align manuals. I get the feeling that this might be missing in a blade heli's instructions.

Oh.....never considered that. Probably not! I thought people were depending on finless Bob for that info for some reason. Did not realize Align provided all that info. I guess that is some justification for the ridiculous mark up vs actual manufacturing costs.

They do!

You just have to take them apart first.

Not only a "Build-Kit" but also a "Tear-Down-Kit" all-in-one!

Learn even more than with your standard build-kit, and have a real 3D model as a "guide" to start with!

Amazing! Innovative!
