Default Mikado Scale Hughes

Other than the fact that they are pricey and readyheli only carried them for a short period. Why is there no pictures of them on here. I know Dave has one or two and i love seeing the pictures of them. I will have one here Friday and want to see some pictures of fellow helifreakers. I searched mikado forum and the logo picture thread and I think there was one. ONE! Anyone who had one, let's see some pictures.

Do they still or ever sell them? I always wanted one, but kind of put it on the back burner and forgot about it.

Readyheli no longer sells them due to the risk of shipping I think and for sure the cost of getting/shipping them. You can still get them but it has to be directly from Mikado. which is like 14-1500 shipped I think after exchange rate. RH had them for 999.99 plus shipping I tihnk.

The model has gained more traction in Europe (as you might expect since it is produced in Germany)...but not so much "over here". Too costly for most.

And, even if it were cheaper to get shipped over here, scale ships in general are more common in Europe than in the U.S. The recent Rotor Live show Kyle and I attended in Germany was one big giant scale extravaganza. Nothing like that even exists in the U.S.

Wow really nice do they make one for the 600? I have a spare flybarred kit I would love to turn into a scale ship.

edit nevermind I see it is for the 600 mechanics with the se boom. Man very tempting but pricey......

I believe these fuselage were design for the 600 SE model instead of the 3D. Correct me if I'm wrong Dave.

I help Dave out on this one , Yes it is designed around the Logo 600SE mechanics not the 3D. Running at 1600 rpm in 3D mode and 1400 for more sport flying!

Koua, I still love seeing your pictures from that event! Thanks again!

I have noticed that the scale fuse has the little carbon side plate for the vbar and rx...will it not fit on the back plate area anymore or is that due to the fuse and satellites/rx working through the carbon fiber back there.

With the V-Bar in its traditional location on the back shelf, you can't get to it to plug-in the USB cable to make adjustments. So it is mounted on the side plate. So when you position it on that plate, consider that you'll have to have access to the USB port.

All the wiring etc. needs to be done prior to installing the mechanics in the fuse...as once in, you can't reach much.

And yes, there is CF in the fuse, but not everywhere. Mount the satellites inside on the glass portions of the fuse (one on each side), and things work fine.
