I personally visited 3 of the hotels on the list posted earlier and my review is as follows
Comfort Inn

I 26 exit #40
Fletcher,NC

I give this 1 -2 Stars, clean but no great shakes.

Hampton Inn Suites
18 Rockwood Rd.
Fletcher, NC 28732

I give the Hampton 3 -4 Stars -- Very clean , continental breakfast, small pool
Clarion Inn Airport
550 Airport Rd
Fletcher,NC 28732
828-684-1213

This gets 4 Stars in my humble opinion. Swimming pool , Bar Lounge, Restaurant, Very Clean -- The best bang for the buck !!!
These hotels are all within a 3 mile drive to the field and are all located off of Exit #40 and I 26 airport exit. Plenty of fast food and restaurants very close by

I got a big a tent no camper sadly will there be like maybe primitive camping permitted? I know my son would love to come do that and if I could beg Tony to buddy box w/him that would be a bonus. He is young enough to stick bang with all the video game skills I lack…

A current AMA card is required for registered pilots who will be flying at the event. Camping or RV-ing is welcome.

A little bonus for making the trip - For all registered pilots paying the $20.00 entry fee will have their ticket placed in a pot for a drawing for a brand new Synergy N5C. Additional raffle tickets will be sold for $5.00 ea with no limit ! Specators are welcome to purchase tickets for the N5c as well. All other give -a -ways will be for registered pilots only. Drawing will be held Saturday 6/30/ 2012 after lunch.

MAN that was a fun event!! Thank you HeliHeads. I feel like I have been baked to a crispy crunch but my family and I had a great time!!! Thanks Farhan for Friday night out. Lots of fun.
