I was informed by MA that they are officially working on the Whiplash 800! This will be a great heli IMHO as in 700 form the whip is an awesome flyer! My guess is it will be way lighter than some of the other 800 models out there.
![]() They are targeting in making it an upgrade package, perfect for existing Whiplash owners that want to go to 800 size category. It will have the longer boom, Torque tube, and pushrod. This will let the heli accommodate 800mm blades and 115mm tails

I was just thinking with the 800 boom extensions this Heli is Gonna be way tail heavy. I already had to cut my tail servo mount to mount it sideways. I'm Hoping since I use turnigy nano tech 5000 mah 45/90c batteries that I can add a 2s 5000 MAH battery to the front battery to make it a 14s setup. Currently watching for a yge or another esc that can handle 14s.

I had never had CG issues with mine due to my electronics placement(and electronics). For the 800 size, I plan to run everything up front including a receiver pack. I am confident I will get mine to balance.

That's the justification to go 105 or 120 on the powerplant! This is awesome!!

It looks like it'll have to contain new main blade grips the root on these 810 mm rotor techs are 16mm.

I just called and a today and they informed me they are testing carbon fiber tail booms and an 800 carbon fiber tailboom extension. Was hoping to get a torque tube and tailboom so I could cut it for my 800 conv.

Unfortunately no but it sounds like it's about a month or two away. They are currently testing with both nitro and gasser.
