Default Maybe starting with FPV

I'm new in this fpv section. I'm flying helicopters for about 3 years.
I'm thinking to start a project making a very little 15cm-20cm tricopter for flying short fpv, so not far away. The basic tricopter is the dxlm from William Thielicke.

Before I start buying a setup, I want some good advise, because I don't know if there is any setup that complies with my requirements. I hope you guys can help me.

I want a smooth fpv setup. This means I want a setup you easily can take away. I prefer having a small setup with receiver build in the glasses and no screen at all, or receiver build in screen and no glasses at all(like this photo). So no case or standard at all, but only helicopter/tricopter (with it's setup in it) and my tx with build on screen OR tx with glasses.

I doubt about the fact that I also want to fly my 550E fpv, so trying to start fly fpv with my 550E is also a nice possibility instead of making a tricopter. I fly on 2.4ghz with my helicopter. But if I want to fly fpv with helicopter, I also want a smooth fpv setup like I said above.

What can you guys advise me? Is there a setup that complies my requirements? Is it possible to fly 2.4ghz, and also fpv 2.4ghz?
As no, what frequence do you advise for my 2.4ghz models? Or do you guys prefer flying on mhz, and fpv on someting like 2.4ghz?

Shoot please!

Isn't there anybody who can help me a little bit?
Are my questions so damn stupid?

I think what you are experiencing is the unwritten code of the internet where one is expected to use google before asking questions which have answers easily obtainable from google combined with the fact that FPV is inherently dangerous and requires a high level of responsibility and technical understanding and that without learning it yourself by reading and studying the various setups successful FPV pilots are using then you could end up having a bad time, and nobody want to be responsible for you having a bad time and so nobody want to just give you a blueprint to follow since with FPV you really do have to experiment as what works for one person in one location on one model may not work in a different place or on a different model .

I'm more of the type that would help out a newb but frankly I just don't know enough about FPV at this point to be in a position to offer you any solid advice, except to say maybe your looking in the wrong place here on helifreak. A helicopter is kindof a poor choice for FPV and many of the better FPV pilots realize this and fly mulit-rotors and or flying wings, they are safer and provide a more stable platform for FPV . So maybe a forum that leans more heavily on the FPV and less on helicopters would net you better advice and answers.

no you cannot fly on 2.4 and use it for video

you can use 900, 1.2-1.3ghz or 5.8 they all have limitations and a long list of pros/cons

for a small build like that a 5.8ghz system with CP antennas would work great

I find 1.3ghz to be the sweat spot for what and how I fly, but that is a long process to explain why. Check out RCgroups FPV section and FPVlabs

Just hit the rotorcraft section here : www.fpvlab.com More answers than you'll know what to do with Do not use 2.4 for control - grab a 72 mHz radio.
