The part I don't get, the release was delayed at least six months on the helicopter so they could fine tune it and yet there's still nothing but issues, head, linkages, one way bearings. If anyone wants i dont use my removable battery trays.

It's probably tough to get any heli perfect before launch.

Agreed But as long as they were testing this Heli I can't see it being so far from perfect. Once again I hate doing this but the whiplash had one issue and that was somewhat difficult getting a perfect COG with the light motor but was an easy fix. other than that it's been awesome. It was also started later and finished earlier than the X7. Still i really love the look of the X7 And have not had a lot of issues with it. They both fly great. The one thing that I would like to change on the X7 is that poor swah driver design, it is prone to binding. I came across the same issue on a Korean printing press I used to work on, same stupid design. I redesigned their system and the dirty rotten scoundrels stole my design and incorporated it on their new models. |

Now that I think about it, this sprag upgrade could cost a lot. The sprag in the 700E is $90!

those of you with owb issues, how many shims are you using between main gear? the one reason i ask is because of something i saw when I was making a custom m1 main gear for my Fusion50. i used the hub from a synergy E7 which used the same owb as the fusion50 hence allowing me to use the stock tail gear hub setup. the fusion was setup to not use a collar and instead required the bottom bearing block to be adjusted.. i. never liked the idea and always used a collar anyway without issue on the stock hub. one of the issues i started seeing with my new custom hub was after a 10 or so flights the hub would start getting harder and harder to spin freely. If i loosened the top collar it would go away but always come back. I finally got rid of the collar and used the standard fusion design and never saw an issue again. i wonder if the x7 is having similar issues? id be interested in hearing how many shims if any are being used by those with problems.

Ok.. After reading this post I'm obviously a tad concerned. I haven't built my kit yet because of real life stuff going on. When will this be available and should I get this before I put my kit together?

Does anyone here have an idea when this new owb will be ready? Mine locked up on the third flight. Then totally crapped itself on the fourth flight. Not very happy with this bird so far... Coming from an align 700e that never had the slightest problem.
Tho it does fly great!! ![]() So ill give them time to fix there issues.

It should be sent to us free of charge. How can they call it an upgrade? Mine lasted 3 flights!

One fifth off my but this is a potentially deadly machine. As often as these seem to be going down this should be a total recall/replacement free of charge so somebody doesn't accidentally get killed.
