sounds logical to me, however, even a DC source will kill you as long as the voltage and available power are high enough.

I just got all the stuff in and as far as I can see now I can make it fit. It is just too wide because of this 8 screw extensions on the sides. If I unscrew it all, cut off the 8 extensions and then hold the heatsink in place on the pcb with some epoxy, then it all should be fine after shrink tubing it again.... But I have to setup the Goblin first before I will get to that.....

AC current will put your heart in vfib... (Ventricular fibrillation)

DC current will stop your heart...

When us paramedics use the paddles, it is DC, we stop your heart, and "hope" it starts back up again...<grin>

On a related note, I installed my Kontronik using artic silver, and some zip ties... I figure the arctic silver thermal paste will transfer heat to the esc plate just fine...
