I'm using a fiberglass 450 canopy from hobby king. I didn't come with mounting holes and you will see in my picture i drilled them in the wrong place the first time. This was my first canopy hole drilling attempt ever.
For $6-$7 the hobbyking canopies are a great deal as far as I'm concerned, it's survived several crashes and it's still in 1 piece, just has some cracks

Soooo, has anyone received their Fusuno 450EX canopy yet? I'm still waiting on mine. I emailed them and got a responce from Hachi saying that they had just returned to work from national holiday, and that she would check on my oreder. Haven't heard anything in the last 24 hours. Starting to bother me just a little. I was promised 7 to 10 days production time and 3 day shipping, They received my order on April 17th, so I'm pretty sure that their time tables are just so much fluf.

Just for fun I checked with Paypal because they require a contact phone number. The number that they have is a 617 area code. I called, and nobody answers. I didn't leave a message, as I know that the canopies are made in Vietnam, so I figured there wasn't much point. April 30th is indeed a holiday in Vietnam so maybe they'll get our canopies moving soon.

Sounds like they are in the middle of a move to a new factory, they also just had a holiday. Hopefully now that they are getting settled in they will get caught up fast
Here is a copy of part of a email i got from them today "As Blade 450EX canopy is our newest product and we get many orders from customers while the qty of the mold is only one. We are also very busy in moving to the new factory and actually still not settled till now. We are very sorry for this, we'll try to finish your order next week. Your patience is much appreciated."

That may all be true, but why not give that information to all your customers who have ordered that canopy. What would it take an extra few seconds to include that information. It could all be smoke and mirrors, as we have no way to know if any of it is true, other than the fact that April 30th is a holiday in Vietnam. No big deal if they keep me updated but so far all I have from them is promises and thin air. That doesn't sit well with me in this day of instant communication. They did send me a reply so why not include all that info.

+1 On, should be kept informed when things are taking longer than expected
I basically said the same thing in a reply to that email Hopefully the end result will be worth the wait

Ahh good to know about the factory move, that explains the delay then. Give them a bit of a break for now then. Glad I don't need my canopy in any hurry. Do my crashing on the stock canopies for now ;-) |

That canopy looks just like my canopy. I bought a Trex450ex from funuso around 2 months ago. Just look at the pics in my profile. I didn't have to do anything to the Trex canopy to make it fit. Took it straight out of the package, and put it on. Granted when there is no battery in the heli, the canopy is loose. But when there is a battery in it, the canopy is tight with no movement.

While I'm waiting for my two fusuno canopies I purchased a slightly damaged trex 450 pro canopy made by canomod to see if it would fit the b450x.
And the answer is yes, but just a bit snug with the stock lipo. Just wanted to share..... ![]()

I picked up an old school Trex 450 canopy because my lhs didn't have have any Blade canopies in stock. Fit perfect. As far as planks go I love the Hangar 9 Beast so the paint job on my 450 canopy is "Beast Inspired" kind of easy to lose orientation on if you're not careful but I do like the way it looks up close I'll post a pic as soon as I figure out how. I'm pretty new to this whole forum thing.

I just got these from Fusuno. I haven't had any communication problems with them and were done with the paint job in under 5 days. Should have shipped last night or will tonight so I'll have full dress heli pics soon!
