Default YS Check valve on OS engine?

I am having some issues with my OS55 HZ-R engine going lean when unloaded and tok the check valave apart and it looks to be out of round.

I have a couple of YS check valves laying around.

So has anyone used a YS check valve with an OS 55 engine? Is it really critical to use the OS branded one?

don't think it would make a difference. all it does is stop tank pressure from leaking back into the crank case. Run it for a bit and the check the tank pressure. if you have pressure than it should be fine

Thanks for the reply mate. I have decided to Swap out the reg and backplate for a non regulated one of the standard 55 that I had spare and will rebuild a motor with it as a spare when needed.

The check valve I was using the silicon flap was way out of round. I don't know if this has been the cause of my issues or it is the reg itself. The engine it was in has never ran good since I got it a year ago.
