Angry REALLY PISSED!!!!!!!

Well update to my SR, I sent mine in to HH almost 2 weeks ago and today I got in the mail a brand new one, so cool.....I obviously open the box had some charged batts went over the heli making sure everything is good, I put a batt in and take it outside and im hovering 15-20 ft up and the heli started to shake tremendously and I saw and quite a few others at the park was watching me fly and we seen like 3 parts fly off the heli and it smashed into the ground the first one I spent 273.00 on the SR at my LHS and had only 1 flight on it crashed due to swash separating, HH sent me a cnc one i replaced it 2nd batt now on this new heli, so on the second batt the tail motor blew out and caused it to come crashing down and this time it done the heli in big time, so I called and sent it in and I got a new one today, so on this first flight the damn thing decided to come apart on me in mid flight links popped off hence why is started to shake uncontrollably, it hit the ground on the first flight and I have spent almost 2 months and way to much money into this garbage a%^ heli I want to shove this heli up where it dont shine at HH This is just flat out RIDICULOUS !!!! Im at a loss for words and my frustration level is gone through the roof. 2 months 1 and half batt packs only flown almost 400$ in extra batts and parts. I want my money back period Im just in shock right now as to I feel like I might as well as taken my hard earned cash and set fire to it is my experience with this heli.

Another satisfied E-flight customer $-Flight

You could of had a really nice machine for the price you put into your crappy toy.

Try a Align heli next time, tons of support and much better quality.

I have heard the SR is hit or miss. Motor driven tail on a heli that size is a sin.

Try this! It is like a blade SR but it works. Belt driven tail, alloy head and tail, all that. Had one, flew great, lots of fun. I wish I still had it. May get another to fly in the back yard. Get the foam blades and they save the rest of the heli in a crash.

$220 RTF, parts available in the USA.
http://www.wowhobbies.com/walkera1ar...ansmitter.aspx

Want to use your own TX? Put a spectrum RX in this and it will fly. $180. It is a $45 RX in it you may be able to sell. Give me an IM If you do buy this, I am in the market for another RX.
http://www.wowhobbies.com/walkera1ar...smitter-1.aspx

Batteries are cheep. $5 ea.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html

Just convert the heli to use the XT60 connector. $3.20 for 5 pairs of connectors. Easy to solder.

Foam Blades $10

Unfortunately you are on your way to learning that buying a kit and building it yourself with decent components pays off in the end. The E-flite or Blade helis have a bad reputation with cheap parts but that's what they have to do to make it affordable for people that dont want to build.

The only heli that I would recommend from them in roughly that size is the MCPx and I think others would agree. Don't let this discourage you, there are a lot of quality helis out there it is just a matter of doing some research in the right places.

You would have MUCH better luck with the Blade 450 sized helis.. or better yet a higher quality Align 450 sized heli... unless it's the mcpx sized heli stay away from motor tails.

Would they refund me my money as I have and they have all my receipts but I did not purchase directly from HH I got it at hobbytown usa? They should refund me for causing a customer to experience this and spend this kinda money on a garage heli I will be tickled to get a refund & DONT send me back a "NEW" one DONT "FIX' the one I send back AGAIN....I want my money back so I can get a 450, I dont want another 250 sized heli, my next purchase was going to be the 450 3d or 450x but now with my experience with this SR elflight has lost me as a customer, time to start shopping for a nice 450, I only bought the SR because of the price being cheap I should of known a lil better cause "You get what you pay for"

I feel your pain. I had the same luck with the SR, mine just decided to fly away one day when the stupid tail motor wire rubbed against the main gear and shorted the esc. Best thing that heli ever did for me. Expensive learning curve with that thing. In other words my cheap clone birds are way better. Check this out and click on the ratings and reviews button - http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...-heli-EFLH1500 This is Horizons website and they put these reviews on there... They should be put out of buisness for still selling this POS helicopter. Besides my used mcpx I just got (which is actually a great little heli) I'll never buy another Blade again or anything from Horizon for that matter.

im dealing with mine too. The first one I bought had bad servos, a bad lipo. Exchanged it for another; bad charger. Its either my luck or something is not right here. Im in the process of trying to set it up now. Its by no means ready to fly outa the box. No way. I took it up and it was all over the place.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Id be upset too. Call them back and politely but firmly explain the issues you encountered. I'd say if you are in this deep and so frustrated, this heli isnt for you.

and In the paper work they sent back the technician said frame was damaged it would be cost affective to replace with new SR instead of repair, test flown....

Yea I bet you just hooked a damn batt up to it made sure the blades spun and boxed it right back up I'm not that stupid, betcha if they took it out on a actual flight it would have came apart on them and said well lets send a new one so they can wait and take there money and deal with us non stop cause we make sh*t heli's.

Not that I want to be the one to say this, or kick you while you're down, but someone is going to. Did you go over the heli before you flew it? Like every screw, bolt, link, nut etc? To repeat the mantra here on the freak, Ready to Fly rarely means Ready to Fly. When I first got my MCPX I went through it and had to tighten up a couple of things. There is a reason why the links popped off. Either they were not on securely or something else was loose and or vibrating. There is always a reason. However, it sucks when you're so excited about a new heli and things don't go your way. I've been there, in fact I would venture to guess we all have.

I own a lot of heli's, I made the mistake of buying an SR on impulse when I visited a HS on an out of town trip. It's the only heli I've ever despised, what a total POS!

+1 on Balde 450 heli. I already had a bnf and I set up my buddies also. Charged the batts and heli flew great. On another note I have a small love for the cp pro 2. I haved own 4 in the past. Spend forever settging them up to get it to fly right. When its right it will 3d fairly well. Bad thing about the sr and the cp is I feel the parts are to expensive for what the heli is. I can get shafts and blades for my trex 450 cheaper then the cp. Cut your losses and get a 450, way more fun and stable.

as in the first post I said I went over the heli, I should of been more descriptive but yes i did check all the bolts screws I check it 2-3 times just to be sure. Im not a pro at it but im a confident flyer. I always check the equipment before flying i learned along time ago the hard way, but even after me tightening some screws checking pitch ect ect, it still took a giant dump on me, its been almost a 2 months on the first 'new' one I got first flight crash, sent it in took them about 2 weeks got a new one today and first flight now this again. I dont need or want this experience I want to fly and not buy something that is pretty much guaranteed to crash outta the box and setup after you take it out of the box. they should advertize on the box Blade SR RTF "Ready to f%&# ya" and not ready to fly !

Agreed thats why I bought it I was at my LHS and asked one of the guys there to let me have a look over it and thought hmm not bad price I already knew the tail was a issue but didnt bother me at the time, now that spur of the moment has got me wanting to tie this POS to my car and drag it all over town, not going to but sounds fun lol

I think the chances of you getting a full "Refund" are about 0.002563%.

Cut your losses and move on. It happens to everyone sooner or later in hobbies like this. You spent a good deal of $$$ had some bad luck, and have learned. Go with an Align 450 Pro. Mine has passed 2,000 4+ minute flights with only one problem...a skid screw fell out in flight cuz I didn't locktite it around flight 1,400. I was able to make an eventless emergency landing with my extreme airmanship skills and year of practicing God-like Crew Resource Management.

Let us know how that goes, I've heard Horizon has great customer service but I think your asking for a miracle here. Most people who bought the SR would
want thier money back... I could send mine back in a 6"X6"X3" box.

sorry for the pics being huge I gotta figure out how to make them smaller on here....i will be sending it back asap in the morning and i'll give them a call and see what happens...I'll report back to what they say and or do for me being the second 1 brand new. I wont cut my loses so easily without a fight I work to hard for my money for some nit wit company to just take it and say sorry, for me i will fight it, if it was only the 200$ i would not be so bent, its the 3 trips to lhs gas money buying parts for it fixing it then sending it out its gone for 2 weeks and Im right back to where I started, so all in all they will get a ear full from me I run my own business and there is one thing in business to remember the customer is always right lol even if they're not, depending on the situation ofcourse.
