I am curious if Castle has a limit that one user/address to the number of ICE's you can send in? I already sent back 2 for replacement due to fire (only one is back) and I have about 7 more to send in. I am thinking of sending them all at once to save on postage.
I witnessed a friend's SAB Goblin go up in smoke when the ICE 160 burned before the motor started moving while its on the ground. It's getting scary. It's really a pain in the butt to have to take my other ESC's out of the heli, and have them grounded for 2 months waiting for replacement... |

If you have had nine fail, I'd like to add them to my list. Could you please tell me if they were all ICE2's and if so, which model (eg 120, 160, etc..)? Please also include failure type for each... fire, failed in flight, approximate date would be good, too...and so on.
Thank you! Scott PS. I have sent one back for upgrade: ICE v3 to ICE2.

all of mine that failed were ICE 80HV v1. (fire). I don't use govenor and it was during hover on normal mode, and the other case was before lift off.
My friend's was an ICE 160 also v1. when the blades was spooling up. I still have a brand new 120 v1, and 2 other 80 v1's that I'm using, but would like to send in because I am loosing trust in these ESC's. I have a 80 v2 on one of my birds and it's fine so far |

You should probably send them in. There are known issues with those ESC's. The ICE2 160's likely have issues causing fires, as well. Nobody knows what is causing the ICE2 160's fires. Your friend is probably better off waiting a bit on sending his 160 until some clarity is shed on the differences between "new stock" and "old stock". That's just my opinion, though. I have nothing to do with Castle or any other manufacturer.
Scott
