Hi guys,
I know why ppl use GOV mode with the ESC, but really don't know how to set it. Can anyone pls tell(teach) me how it is set? Do i need to do something with my throttle curve together with the ESC? Thank you very much for any advice i can get. Best regards, Rich |

Depends on the esc your using. But a good starting place is the finless vids on the castle creations HV85.

Hi HFG,
Thanks for the tip, i'll go ahead and download it now. BTW, I'll be using a Jeti SPIN ESC, any idea? Will it be the same procedures as the CC 85? Best regards, Rich |

Hi HFG,
Thanks for the info. If it's that 'worse' i'll sure sell it  BTW, is it really better to fly the heli in GOV mode or just fly with a flat TC? Best regards, Rich |

Well... I can say this: Once you go JAZZ you can never go back
This thing makes your flight SO DANG STABLE you can not believe it! I used the Align 6V 35A without governor mode. When I changed to JAZZ, OH BOY.. what a difference. It flew like a whole different helicopter. I could not afford a Kontronik for my 600, so I got a 85HV and works pretty well too.. but the jazz for my 450 with governor mode turned on was the best thing I got since the 401+9650 combo

For the CC35, this is how to set it up.
- Put ESC in fixed endpoint mode (make sure it's set correctly so endpoints are at 0 & 100% throttle). - Measure the head speed at 85% throttle. I did this on the ground an like -1 degrees pitch. - Put the ESC in governor mode. - Increase throttle in governor mode until you reach the measured head speed above. - Set your idle up to a flat throttle curve at the number found above. For my CC35, I think I'm running in Gov High at around 56 flat in idle up. It gives me about 2850 headspeed. I'm running a JGF 500TH. Hope that helps. Jason |
