My painter can make the cheeked canopy using carbon fiber. The purpose of this post is to see if their is any interest in this.

Carbon fiber is NOT recommended for canopies as it can block the TX signal to your receiver.

There are already others working on resurrecting the cheeked canopies but none have actually done it yet. Having one more certainly won't hurt. If you painter can do it in carbon fiber, why not fiberglass?

I still dont understand why people dont do canopies in polycarbonate, it has got to be lighter, probably more durable as well, is it too hard to paint?
