Default tail wag above half throttle

I have a trex 450 SE V2 that I'm building so that I can add a body to it. When I power up to over half throttle in normal mode, the tail starts to wag like there is a gail issue. Doesn't matter what I set the gain to, the wag above half throttle remains. I've checked the tail bearings (belt and grips), I've changed out the belt drive gear and I've tried new blades (main and tail). I've also rechecked the settings for the gyro and resized the tail
links and doule checked belt tension and teeth. I've replaced the tail with another unit for good meaure as well. I have not changed out the tail servo or gyro. This isn't my first trex. I currently fly another 450 SE V2 and trex 450 pro V1. Just hoping someone has an idea I haven't thought of yet....

Heli:
Align trex 450 SE v2 with fly-bar (weights installed)
430XL motor
RCE-BL35P ESC
Align carbon fiber blades fr the SE V2 combo pack
Futaba GY520 gyro
Futaba 9650 tail servo
Futaba S3156 collective servos
Spectrum 6115e reciver
KBDD plastic tail blades
Pitch and throttle curves are set in the Finless video tradition
Tx - futaba 9c original with spectrum module

Make sure the Align ESC is not in governor mode, in almost all cases it will cause wag.

Check the distance of the linkage ball on the tail servo and make sure it is within the heli and gyro requirements.

Make sure the gyro is programmed correctly, especially servo type and Delay...the 9650 is pretty slow relatively speaking.

+1
7 mm for the gyro servo throw for 450s usually.

Assuming that the the bearings were ok? I just had the same prob on my 450 pro v1.
I thought the gain was off. I tried a high and low setting and still wagged. Then I noticed that one of the grips was loose and tried to tighten it but it was tight. Come to find out it was the bearing in the grip seized up and came apart causing the grip to slide outwards from the hub.

just my two cents.

Default next steps

I just rechecked that the ESCs not in Governor mode:

brake off
Midtiming
Middle cutoff voltage
Heil 1 - soft start
Quick speed

I just tried to reset the mechnical by setting up in rate mode. It does seem a little better, but still hunting/wagging at half or above in both heading hold and rate mode. I'm going to rebind and see if that helps. I have not check taken apart the 2nd tail. Want to try this first.....

Thanks all for the all the suggestions!

OK, re-bind did not fix it. I also replace main and auto-rotation gear, just incase they were out of round. No dice. That leaves taking apart this tail and a trying another gyro and servo. I picked up a spartan quark on the formum a few days ago....

Not sure whatelse to check. May have to tear it all down and check everthing......

You never responded back about the mechanical gain/linkage ball distance.
Have you checked that?

Well, I would try the Quark.
If the tail wags with that, there is definitely something very wrong in the setup.

OK, I really am an idiot. I put the quark on the bird and noticed that the indicator light was flashing blue - 2 pulses. That says the ruder isn't centered. Checked over the radio again and found that the gyro sense function was set to inh. Fixed......

THank you all!
