Default Reviving my Outrage 550

Well..

No one seems to be interested in purchasing my frame + parts,,,

so I am reviving it.. putting in torque servos.. and tx pack at 8v

going fbl with it..

The velocity/fusion 50 FBL head is compatible I think right ?

The Fusion head is what everybody uses, you can also save a few bucks and use ds610's. Tons of people run them on 2s.

You can use the 550 swash, but the fusion swash has improved geometry. You can get the f50 head and swash for $140 combined.

If money is an issue, I recently replaced the ds620s with Hyperion ds20x smd servos on the cyclic. They're less than $50. I've only had 100 flights on them, but I'm liking them so far. I think they hold better.

Glad to see you are going to put your O550 back in the air. I have two of them flying at the moment and O550 #4 should be delivered today by the brown truck.

If you buy the FBL swash make sure you buy the one with the anti-rotation pin. The Fusion 50 and new Velocity 50 N2 don't have one. Besides, the swash with the pin is $6.00 cheaper. Look in the O550 and Velocity 50 parts for it.

I have a bunch of FB heads and was thinking about using the blade grips and feathering shafts that I have as spares before replacing with the V50 grips etc when needed. I will have to check and see if the FBL arms will fit.

That might be a problem. The original swash is 2mm screws and the update ones are 2.5mm.

My next order I was thinking about getting a Fusion elevator arm just for fun to see how it fits. Think it would be kinda cool to get rid of the anti-rotation bracket on my O550 if it works.
