ok lower setting from 50 to 30 make it much better little tail wag, the only thing is the governor is really stubbon to enguage. if I set governor lower than 30, it does not enguage all all, also notice only when a connect a full battery that I can get it to enguage af first try. if i get it to enguage and fly and landed the heli then try to enguage governor it does not work at all.

=] you can't rush it, or get into idle 1 until the gov is fully locked, have you tried the 0,40,40,40,40 normal curve?

I know when it locked in the tail kick and the speed slow down .
I have trottle curve idle up 0: 0 40 40 40 40 1: 60 60 60 60 60 and 2: 100 100 100 100 100
The problem is that I set my trottle at mid-siock 50% and then flip trottle hold switch and wait for the governor to kick in. sometime a leave it for a min still does not enguage.

=] this is wrong to do! the gov will not respond to this method, you are lucky if it works at all.

the SK gov uses the throttle ramp as its signal to engage, at 25% throttle it recognizes this request and obeys it, you are overstepping this part, not good for consistent use....

=] just spool up in normal and allow the gov to lock as you approach half stick, wait there for the RPM surge then either lift or hit idle 1 / 2, all yours.....

ok got it enguage everytime now, I go as low as 26 governor gain, tail wag very little movement you have to really look to see very happy with that. If the gain go below 25 the head bogs. I have 50 on head and 50 on tail now.

What this for Small Heli and Blur Piros on Tail Tab.

small heli just optmizes for small 450 and under helis

Blur piro means what it says. It bumps the piro rate up to 900 degrees/sec.

The video clip in the 1st page is mine, here is my wiring if you still need, so clean and clear

I know that you got a tail wag if your governor gain is higher than 30s, me too. But with that gain your heli is not powerful.
You may dont belive but mine is 64 with Align RCE-BL60G ESC and Align 450MX motor, Turnigy 30C 2200mah. RPM is 2700, 3000 and 3300. Yes I got a tail wag, yeah my tail is wag just like a dog tail , but just when I hover. When in 3D, it's gone or just wag a little. So I ignore it and my heli is like a monster. Kontronik Jazz or Koby is nothing with it.
But maybe I have to replace my tail servo every 3 months with that wags

Another is, 450 Pro like high hiller decay, about 160-170 and low hiller and damping gain. Mine is 31/34 and 11/13 with Hitec-HS5065MG

What does a value for a completely different piece of hardware have to do with the SK?

And a governor does not make your heli "powerful". Some serious setup problems if your heli has that bad a wag in hover, and really not good for the servo.

Do you know the relationship between governor gain on FBL controller and the tail wag? I know it clearly with my SK-720,SK-540 and V-Bar standard.
yeah governor does not make heli powerful, so why many people spent a lot of money for Kontronik governor function?
You thing powerful helicopter mean high RPM helicopter, stop kidding me,high RPM is nothing, but constant RPM is different. Governor make your heli dont lose its RPM, what does it mean? Dont make any sense to you?
I dont care what my heli act when hover, I'm not a scale flyer or I am learning to hover. It stable in my 3D move, that's enough. Align DS520 is very cheap here.
Just check my video in the first page.

I've found that low Hiller Decay ( 35%) works fine on a 450 Pro - for 'stable flying'.

Depends what you want.

Governor does make the heli fly smooth because of the constant head speed, If you pump the collective stick you can feel the difference. Also Hiller Decay @ 50% works for me I kinda like that Rigid feeling.
Thanks guys for all your help, I just have to enjoy this little beast now.

It makes perfect sense to me, what you are missing though is that if the tail is wagging constantly then your rotor RPM is NOT CONSTANT . It is oscillating back and forth because you have the governor gain set MUCH too high.

Your also comparing the align ESC gov to the one on the SK540... which is laughable.

But I am going to stop here because it feels like

I wonder have you ever fly or setup any FBL governor?
And have you ever see the tail wag because of FBL governor? It is not constant wag!
governor gain to low, yeah, the tail is not wag, but on hard pitch, when RPM is getting low, it take a long time to make RPM higher like before pitch.
governor gain high, ok, tail wag, but on a hard pitch, RPM is not getting low much.
That why we have to play with Overdrive too.
And which sentence I compare Align ESC gov to SK540 gov?
Anybody have any ideas else?

From memory: HD 35%, rate about 20% sport default; Tx rate 60%.

This may not be appropriate for your flying...

Ok how do you get the governor gain to 30 without the tail going crazy, I have my governor set @ 26 and tail @ 28 fly ok but governor boggs a lot if the governor is at 30 the heli feels smooth when flipping it around but the tail wags very hard/fast. if I can't get it to 30 then governor does not make sense to use. Also I took off main and tail blade and spool up at idle up 2 @ 3400. I have no vibrations meaning that heli sit stable. what else do I have to check for.
