Tom - did you mean to suggest that I change to a new SD card if I say, for example, change the motor?

If you are going to leave the jLog mounted on one setup and just swap the motor just use the same card and create a new CONFIG.TXT file. I swapped the motor on mine and just added a ".old" behind the CONFIG.TXT filename (left it on the card still but shouldn't get read on startup). Fired up the jLog configurator and created a new CONFIG.TXT file with the current motor/gearing information. If your jLog device is jumping from setup to setup then its best to have a different card for each setup, that way you don't have to have a PC to write the correct CONFIG.TXT every time the jLog device moves to another setup.
