Thanks for that, I'd be keen to know what you think of it when you get it... I heard they are very good quality for clone, and reasonably priced.

Phil76 I will let you know how well made I think it is. This will be the first Keep kit. For me I crash a lot still so mine don't have time to wear out. I am only interested in how much the whole kit costs. I do keep blades, fly bars, feathering shafts and main shafts to repair a crash. If any more than that I buy a new kit.

well if its cost look here
http://www.xheli.com/18h15-cf450-v3-kit.html

its a pro frame with a se2 head and belt drive
you can use all trex pro parts but you have to use se2 feathering shafts or just get a pro head body

i've built a few of these and they fly great. at 57.00 you cant beat it
comes 95% assembled (please loctite everything to be safe)

The xheli kit sat mentioned is the one I just got. I got it with intentions of making it FBL from the start.

I put the EXI head on my B400, works great and big improvement. Xheli customer service is great (had some shipping damage and a bad tail control arm, they replaced immediately, A+).

I haven't flown it yet as I don't like the swash, has a little too much wobble IMO and awaiting an Align. However, I'm sure it will fly fine as I've flown my B400 and SR in far worse shape.

So if cost is a concern, this is what I'd get again. But if I had to do it over again, I'd get an Align...but it would delay the learning experiences I've had setting up this FBL which is hard to put a price on.

Many good ways to go and the important thing is to enjoy and give back

Ken

Oh darn you beat mine in price. Mine was 58.99 in my hands. Did I mention it has a tork tube tail!
Kevin

PS I have dealt with Xheli years ago not such a good experience.

didnt think torque tube would be a big deal especially if your a beginner because all a beginner is going to do is rip out gears from smacking the tail on the ground

Haven't striped one yet. My tail don't hit the ground until I crash hard. Not a complete beginner, been flying off and on for around 4 years.
I don't have a ton of money to spend on these things.

My heli will arrive tomorrow I will let you know what I think of it. I have ordered a version 2 (belt drive) and the pro (tork tube) from Value Hobby. None of those said Keep on them so I don't know if they were or not. I like the sport or the v2 frames because I can put the expensive stuff inside where they have better protection.

I bought 2 keep 450 pro torque tube kits from value hobby. Just finish first build. Not bad. It is almost identical to my trex450, without the quality

Phil76 The Keep kit is on par with all the other Chinese kits that I have had. Head is a little sloppy. Tail was not torgue tube I'm a little miffed about that so I just used the parts that I needed to get the crashed one working. I would buy another if it came with a torque tube especially at $55.00.

Just got one..came in at $70 shipped with torque tube. Seems okay with quality...I'm going to put it together. One big difference....the canopy is red instead of white.
