Default Trex 450 Pro V2 Microbeast Tail Problem

Hello , I have a little inssue with my Trex 450 PRo V2 using Microbeast Beastx 3.0 , When I do Sideway TIC TOC ( Aileron) Or when is necessary to use Full NEGATIVE pitch the tail move counter clock. I already try to increase the tail gain, center tail link Servo position and another stuffs in the Microbeast but it still doing this. Does someone know how to fix it? (sorry about my english)

What headspeed are you running?

Have you found your ideal Parameter D? Which color is it?

I have the same problem with my TREX 450 with Microbeast. It's exactly what you are describing. Also, I recently purchased a Blade 300x with the "Beast" fbl system (a rebadged Microbeast). The Blade worked fine until I tried a bigger pinion gear to increase head speed. Now it's doing the same thing. Under hard pitch throws, the tail blows out. I'm almost positive this problem is directly related to head speed.

My advice is that you can do one of two things:
reduce head speed until it behaves or ditch the Beast for a better unit. I think I'm going to do the latter.

I've been chasing tail issues on my 450 Pro as well. I have to ask, when was the last time you changed the bearings in the tail grips? The inner bearing is tiny and fails frequently, specially when running high head speeds. Tons of load on a tiny bearing, that should be a radial (Align Design Flaw)..

Aside from the tail grip bearings, take a min to double check all of them..

Try adding revo mix to your set up if you running higher head speeds. This could also be the quickest fix to your problem..

Edit*** After re reading your issue, start with Revo Mix..

This sounds similar to what happened to me today- I gave the heli heaps of collective and the tail took a second to hold- did it every time I tested it. nearly crashed a couple of times when trying a couple of things because all of a sudden the heli was facing a different direction than I was expecting when inverted or sideways- I was lucky to recover and not fly the thing into my head- seriously close call. anyway, I have tried different head speeds and the higher head speeds seem to hold better, but I would rather adjust a gain or something than run at 100% all the time. any direction on what to do would be appreciated.

If higher headspeed is making things better, then I believe the answer is that you need more tail authority to hold off against the high mainrotor torques that you are making with heavy collective use.

All electronics can do is to issue orders for the tail rotor pitch to move. If the tail rotor pitch can't move fast enough, or far enough to generate the thrust, you get blow out.

A higher headspeed does two things, it generates the same main collective thrust wiith less pitch and needed counter-torque, and also gives a higher tail speed which itself will give more available thrust. A win-win.

All you can do electronically is to increase gain, hoping to get the tail pitch to respond faster, but if the tail servo is weak, or you are at the end of the slider range, you get blowout.

+1. That's the point of running without a governor or gearing so the governor can run at a high enough head speed so the tail can counter torque. Well said, ahahn!

Another thing might be longer tail blades... Edge makes a 60mm, blade,KBDD makes 61mm blades, Stealth makes a 62mm blade. Much longer and you risk taking out something in the tail drive train.

I doubt this is a BeastX shortcoming.

ahahn and dunkonu23- Thanks for the explanation guys. I turned the tail dynamic up about 15° increased gyro a little and I increased the headspeed 10% and problem solved. I love quick and easy fixes like this. Now back to flying!!

Have you adjust the tail pre-compensation in parameter F?
