So like the title says. I am looking to pick up a align 500 cobra and was just checking to see who has the best deal. I have checked all the big time online stores and they are all close to the same.
Also, i have a nice 500 esp fbl w/ 3gx. If i get the cobra kit am i going to need anything else that i dont already have that the kit doesnt come with? Any recomodations on upgrades to the kit?

This is what I am running.
Edge 473mm main blades. KDBB 84.5mm tail blades. 12T pinion 3GX v1.2 the tail needs a little playing with to make it a bit more scale like rather than slamming to a sudden stop. |

Also HeliArtist has a good one too. Also has upgraded raised tail gears, and no mods needed to fit them in. If you get the Align and decide to fit HeliArtist raised tail gears, you'll be modding the miniboom and mini torque tube to fit it.

it doesn't have to be, but I am lazy, and the align one comes already pimped, I would just want to add some lights, maybe a strobe. I also thought it would be cool if you could some how get a servo connected to the gun up front and then use the aux2 knob to rotate it around?

Do a little searching in this forum. Several have done this. The Viper in the sticky looks GREAT, and he did it all.
FYI, there is no difference in pimp level between the HeliArtist and Align branded kits. Both come painted and featured identically, except the HA kit already has the raised tail upgraded.

the heliartist one looks cheap in the pictures, and besides geting the action heros to sit in it you don't get anything that you don't get in the other 2 kits (align and areodyne). I guess I need to find out what are the pro's and con's of each kit before I make a purchase. I thought I read somthing about the align tail not being the best, can some one tell me whats wrong with it.
I first wanted to go with align because I like the army camo scheme, but I wanted to add my own touch and paint a mouth on it similar to the one in the picture. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dgorun/...n/photostream/

While I flew over 100 flights with the Align gear I never really trusted it. I stripped my first set in 5 mins and Align selling spare gears in packs of 2 pair does not say much about what they think of their product in reliability and the model comes with a spare pair as well ![]() The one JoseReyes posted has the Align gear. Just do what Rob said Steve |
