Heres how I solved the motor rubbing issue. I have 3 friends using them in 450X's..one nose dived and smashed the battery this past weekend, motor never got touched.

The mark on the motor is old..which is what prompted the bracket. 1"x 1/16" alum angle, cut 1" long, double sided taped to the frame.

That's a good idea. I think mine will have a similar mod before it gets off the ground again

Velcro your packs to the tray and they won't move either.

BTW, this is the one that I've flown a bunch of time since the crash that caused this.

Somebody should build such thing as a hop-up... with "stepped" adjustable length to accommodate different size lipos and helping maintaining the CG...

I mean, we always tune-up and setup everything to the millimeter and the 0.1 degree of pitch but then we use different batteries for different flights and we just "hook it up somewhere around there" and we don't consider that... am I wrong?

Use adhesive "Orange Pad" from Super Skids, and the supplied strap, instead of the Velcro, battery will never slip!, plus it is thinner, and your canopy will fit much better!, the battery wont be as high, as when using the two pieces of velcro, works great...
