Default CC ICE 50 Settings

What kind of settings are you guys with CC ICE 50's and stock motors using? I got mine all set up and when I took it to the park and went to spool it up but all it did was make a lot of noise while the blades spun at about 1 RPM

Did you use the USB and castle link software to set it up?

Did you make sure you specified your gear ratios, battery etc correctly?

If you export your settings to a file and post on here, I should be able to quickly spot what's wrong.

If I get a chance I will send the settings I used for stock motor.

Lets start with the settings.

Edit: Just had a look, can;t find the settings file anymore for stock motor (I'm using 2221-8 now).

Post your settingas .dat file.

I did use Castle Link to set it up and I set the battery gear and motor up properly to my knowledge: 3s, 13t pinion 150t main gear, 3500kv 8 pole motor etc. I'm at work right now but when I get home in a few hours I will upload the .dat file.

Thanks

There is a 5 part set up vid on youtube on Castle Ice controllers. Very informative. Type in "how to program a castle creations esc part 1". Sounds to me like you may have missed a step. Let us know how you make out. Lot's of help on these forums.

I watched those videos on YouTube, thanks, they were great. I did have everything set up correctly except for the damn motor which was reversed!!! I figured it out by first verifying that the pinion on the motor was in fact turning and then after setting it back onto the main gear I realized it was actually spinning the backwards. You guys have been very helpful with all my noob questions, I can't thank you enough.

Ah! Interesting that the blades actually moved, must have been just enough friction at the one way bearing.

Anyway, well spotted.
