Default DS610 Horns

I had transferred my DS610 Align circular horns to my Torq Cyclics on the O550, and they worked for a while..

My last auto was my "last" auto and I stripped a ton of teeth on my belt and busted 2 blades..

I also learned that every horn was stripped.. I thought it was the stupid elevator bell crank again, but nope!

I guess they are not as good a fit as I thought.. I put on the outrage ones. numbers 4 and 8 match what I used on the Align horns perfectly.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case you did the same as me.. watch them horns!

I use Quick UK CNC horns... and they work great because of the bell crank system.. with 12+ crashes I've not stripped a servo yet.

I use these Duratrax horns on mine. They come in blue, red or gold. Been working great since 2010. Work well with the original DS620s I had in it and with the Hyperion DS20X-SMDs I have in it now.

Cant use single arms on bell crank.

If you want some stock Torq wheels, I have 2 complete sets of 4 if you want them. If you just pay for International First Class shipping, they are yours.

I use the round plastic horns on my servos. I prefer these over any metal horns because in a crash these will be the weak point. As you found, in a good crash the plastic teeth strip. It is much less expensive to replace a plastic servo horn than a CNC horn and/or the gears in your servo. Plus, the plastic horn teeth should be a little weaker than the linkage saving some damage to it also. After a crash it is something that needs to be removed and checked.

That's what's nice about the horns I've been harping here. Metal arms, but plastic servo mount insert.
