RAVE 90 Head damper fix?

I have seen info on putting duct tape on the feathering shaft to stiffen up the head and keep the dampers from excessive wear. I was wondering if anyone has a picture or diagram of this procedure? I am picturing the duct tape going in the center where a sleeve would normally go? is this right ? any help is appreciated.
