Same shape, but double the weight of the Henseleit canopy. Earlier ones was produced with finer and lighter cloth, latest version not and are even heavier

I thought they were different for some reason even though I had both???? I was told about the weight issue earlier today but not too concerned by that.

Cheers dude, I did not compare when I had them both but I think it was more a case of the paint job on the Fusuno made it look different.

The Fusuno has a beautiful colour scheme and finish but I agree the Henseleit one does have different, more alien, curves

Is this a Fusuno or a TDR supplied canopy I got painted?
Can you tell the difference?? If you guess right you get 10 Jamin points http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=431758

Having now had the opportunity to actually own a TDR. One of the things i was amazed with is the canopy.
The workmanship on each canopy is a work of art - so much better quality than ANY other canopy I've ever seen.. Thin, uniform, smooth edges... extremely well made canopies... Everyone i've shown the canopy to has been amazed and initially thought it was smooth plastic it's that uniform and consistent.

OK, new question, are they worth the extra over what they cost as a blank TDR is more than a painted Fusuno.
I don't think so tbh as once its on the heli and in the air it matters not?

For me it's about quality and I think they are well worth the money. I also like their fit better and they feel very light for their size.

yeah, the quality of the stock one is fantastic, you can bend it, be not gentle to it, but it doesn't crack or something like a standard Fusuno.
You can always do like me. Buy a white one and paint it yourself

I do like to use a company here in the UK called Cano FX. He done my Scorpion black canopy that I just crashed. His work is simply stunning and he does the ones for all the Optifuel/power pilots

Stock one is half the weight and it's really flexible. I fly my Fusuno most of the time though, for some odd reason, probably afraid to ruin the stock one
