That's what I also thought/ heard.

I know Bobby is only talking about the Bandit on his website... and for a while the Beam was what he was mainly flying for a 450 at funflys later in the Summer.

MA and Beam are not associated at all anymore. MinAirs 450 helis is and will be released as the "Bandit" it is not the Beam, in looking at pics it is actually "alot" different.

They have made some major improvement to the MA bandit, it is now one sick little helicopter, I got some video of it at Clint's birthday flyin, one of the most nimble heli's I've ever seen. Clintstones Birthday Bash Videos by Mark I believe they are getting very close to having them available, perhaps the end of the month or early March, should be very exciting.

Advantage Hobby is where my LHS got the Beams from. If you love working a helis a lot, then this is for you. The build time is probably twice as long as a Trex 450.

Ha... come on! have you built one? Super simple to do. everything goes together like a charm. This is called bashing for nothing.

What part of the building is so complicated? I mean 2 hours for the frame? there is only a couple of screw...

You mean theres only 2 screws for the frame? Don't think so. Have you actually built one? If you did, you must be a super expert at building Beams. The first guy to have a Beam in Hawaii (months before anyone else) is Philip, he's sponsored by Beam and did flight testing for them. He said the build was more complicated than the Trex build. The second guy works for my LHS and builds all the customers helis. He also said the build was more complicated than a Trex. And when I was at my LHS and actually watching the build, I can say for sure, building the Beam is NOT 'SUPER SIMPLE' to do, as you put it.

This is not bashing for nothing. Its letting people know that the Beam build is more labor and time intensive than a Trex 450 build. And this is a FACT, since the Beam kit has no pre-assembled parts, it will take more effort and time to build it.

BTW, just curious, how long did it take you to build the Beam?

Ok then, don't want to start a was on this. I guess I'm a super builder then Anyway, neither did I timed me doing it, neither did I find it long. I consider building and adjusting the machine is as much fun as playing

In fact, I could build mine much more frenquently just for fun if it does not meaned I probably crashed it before

Appart from the fact that it does not come preassembled (because this cannot be compared since somebody else put the time in for you) what do you think make this model "longer" to build? I really can't see what take you that long. Either this or your trex is all "clip on" instead of screws

And by the way, the trex canopy in my Avatar is actually a Beam... the canopy was out for airbrushing.

Good. The people not building their first or second heli sometimes enjoy the build. I remember MANY enjoyable MA Heli builds, a few of which are documented here. What is the point of any heli or a hobby if it is not entertaining?
