Default DX7 in/out on the curves setting question.

Hi all,

I'm pretty new and I hope the question I have won't be so noob. I have a dx7 tx and when looking through my curves, I noticed something that I'm really confuse.

1. When I look at the throttle curve (reset to a linear one), when using the up/down key to look at the normal vs. st-1 or vs st-2, the curve change a tiny bit (even though all of them are linear). This is the same for the pitch curves when compare normal vs. st-1 and vs st-2. Is this normal? or is my dx7 is somehow not functioning properly?
Example of a reset normal pitch curve
point L = 0% , in = 0, out = 0
point 1 = 25%, in = 25, out = 24 ??? isn't this suppose to be 25?
point 2 = 50% , in = 50, out = 48??? isn't this suppose to be 50?
point 3 = 75%, in = 75, out = 74??? isn't this suppose tob e 75?
point H = 100%, in = 100%, out = 100%

ST-1 and ST-2 linear curve gives exactly the in/out at each point 0, 25, 50, 75, 100

2. When setting the curve points, I notice there's the % for each point (i.e point L = 0%, point 1 = 25% etc...), and the in/out indicate the number. My understand is the IN indicate the actual stick input (i.e if I move my stick to middle, it should read 50). Howabout the OUT? Does this number need to match with the IN 100%?

The part I'm confuse is as follow. For example, when I attempt to set the normal pitch curves to 40, 45, 50, 75, 100

My point L = 40%, point 1 = 45%, point 3 = 50%, point 4 = 75%, point H = 100%
However my in and out read something like this:
point L in = 0, out = 40,
point 1 in = 25, out = 43 ?? Is this suppose to be 45?
point 2 in = 50, out = 48 ??
point 3 in = 75, out = 72 ??
point H in = 100, out = 100

So I guess the question is when I attempt to setup the curve to 40, 45, 50, 75, 100 (which give my pitch ranges of around ~ -2 pitch - +11pitch), should I set those number by looking at the OUT? or just set it as the % like above and it should be ok?

Oh and of course, trim/subtrim were all at zero. travel adjustment all at 100%

Thank you much

Looks like I found the answer. I did a full model reset and re-configured and everything line up properly now. Thanks again.

You probably had a hover throttle/pitch trim active that you didn't know about. If you look at the Tx, the trim switches I'm talking about are the ones on either side of the speaker cut outs. If you encounter this problem again just re-center these trims and you shouldn't have to reset the model.

I'll keep in mind the next time it happen . Anyhow, the interesting thing was it only seems to happen to the normal mode not ST1 or ST2. Unless of course the trim was per mode.

Thank you again

Default hover trim

Hover trim and pitch trim are only active in normal flight mode
