Default Manual Posted KX018E15 T-REX 700E DFC HV Super Combo V3

Hi Guys,

I posted a scan of the manual for the new 700E V3 on our website.

It is in 3 parts, we need a new scanner but it is not too bad.

Enjoy!

Ken

smaze17, my 700 dfc hv combo is coming soon,

Can you give me some advice on how to power the unit 3GX? I have a 7.4v lipo 2s Align http://www.ronlund.com/rcheli-prod/E.../HBP19001.html

But this lipo comes with a JST connector

The kit comes with an adapter or I need to buy one?

How do you connect it?
Do you use power switch?

Hi there. I personally will not be using the 3GX but my Beastx will be powered by a 2-cell lipo directly into the unit. Since we have HV servos we no longer need regulators....nice!!

I would recommend making a y-harness from the battery to the 3GX. This way you will have 2 leads coming from the battery which will distribute the power more evenly hence reducing the chance of a power "bottleneck" situation. At least this is how I understand it. Hopefully guys will chime in who have more knowledge and experience with regards to powering our FBL controllers properly

You could also get a simple switch that already has 2 leads coming from it. I have used this switch in the past and it worked great. You just plug your battery into it then plug the 2 leads coming from it to 2 open ports in your 3GX.

We use the Castle BEC Pro up here to eliminate the hassle of charging the extra reciever battery - just set it to 8v and go. Been having very good luck with them when run on 6s (just one leg of the 12s pack in a 700E). I have some pics on our facebook page of the y-harness layout.

Definatly 2s lipo straight into the 3GX with dual wires works great too. I run that on my nitro.

Making up a Y connector for the JST really doesn't solve your problem, as it is like a servo lead, and only rated for maybe 10 amps. I would just replace it with (I use Deans ultra) a higher amp female on the bat side, and parallel solder two heavy duty servo extensions to plug into your FBL or RX.

I already posted the Full .pdf version of this very manual from Align's website in this thread. It much more clear and easy to read than a scan.
