Default Maiden flight e640 target rpm question

Maiden flights are always a white knuckle event for me. I'm using CC 120 ESC with 3300 12s to start out, so it should be on the lighter side initially. There is good information on the forum for IU2 rpm settings, but I'm interested in what people consider a safe "low" takeoff rpm.

Can a couple the the e640 fliers post the various idle-up RPMs you are using?

Thanks,
Norm

I am running 10 S.My rotor speed in flight modes that I run. N is 1750 ,idle 1 1850 ,idle 2 1925 and this is with my castle 2 120hv.
I do most my flying in idle 1 and alot of playing around and practice in N.All my pitch curves are full V curves so I can do whatever in any mode and I shut down with my hold. Everyone is looking for something different.I like nice smooth aerobatics and mild smooth 3D ,plus long flight times.I get 8 minutes with under 70% capacity used up on my packs. If you are looking for blinding speed and crazy fast direction changes my setup is not it.But it still has never blown out the tail in fast backwards stuff or Funnels ect so I think my setup with my 95mm RT tail blades works great for my style.Take care and have fun.

1600 to 2200 hs would be just fine I run mine at 2600 I don't advise this but I'm sure 2400 would be fine any more than that and you'll probably be in my boat

2200-2300 works for me. 2200-2100 gives better flight times.

Yep, and swinging 620 to 640mm blades at 2200 will give a lot of performance....heck, big blades like that at 2000 are impressive.

So would using longer tail rotor blades at lower head speeds and/or setting gyro for hiher piro rates.
