I thought you would need the 2 lower bolts on the head to give it centering stability and sort of pinch it onto the main shaft.

Looking good! Any phasing issues and how stiff is the head? How hard (if any) are the dampers?

stock 450 tarot fbl head, and just ordered the dfc links recently...these are the links that require no mainshaft modification..I would like the shorter mainshaft and an align dfc head...but what the heck..the dfc links where 12 bucks....

HHMMMM, mucho tempting. Keep the same head, no main shaft modification, same servo-to-swash links....this is sounding like something I may be interested in. Please keep us updated OP if you encounter any adverse effects

I believe those are still present.....
The washout arms had their own bolts with the sole purpose of keeping the washout arms connected (and mine always ended up binding at the bearing).

thats cool, i was going to go with DFC head but i didnt want to modify main shaft so i just bought the regular. But i really like the look of DFC so keep us updated if it changes any flight characteristics negatively.

No, those are regular DFC links.

You need these links, which convert the regular FBL Head to DFC style.

Had two flights today...I'm no expert by no means and I'm fairly new to this hobby...but, whether it is my mind telling me it or if its true...the helicopter feels much more locked in...I always thought it was something with the zyx I didn't have set correctly...but I put on these new links and its really really solid...I can go hands off the controls for nearly five seconds before any input is really required...I had issues with the heli having a rolling tendency on loops/flips, with these new links, it does exactly as expected...I feel as if I'm flying in phoenix...I've had nothing but some pretty good luck with upgrades so I'm very happy...450 3d flybarred, to flybarless with hitec 5065 servos was a nice jump...now add the dfc links and imo this heli flies very much like the trex 700 in phoenix sim...which is very controllable and easy to fly to me!

thumps up so far, hopefully it all stays together! thats the only problems ive had with tarot stuff...seems to fall apart unless you cement it all together haha...ive learned to loctite EVERYTHING so i don't think ill have that issue anymore! knock on wood!
