Also, be sure you have the gyro orientation set correctly too.

I think the tip over was because i thought that it tipped left like the second try (the blade strike was on my third) so i over compensated right. My expo is set to %30 i think i might have also been nervous cause i was so close inside that shop. I will take off head and tail pushrod and make sure the main shaft is not bent. If it is not i will go to the LHS and get some more blades and try again, outside and standing further back. The cut doesnt even hurt today.

I run my blades pretty snug on both ends of mine. If I try and run them like I used to it would shake hard till the blades got straight. My 450 done the same thing once....on spool up it did its "blade straightening dance" and after a few secs the swash tilted hard right. Blades just scraped the ground, but after that I tightened them to "just" too tight. Very little wobble now and no more swash tilt. The lead and lag effect of the blades spinning up to speed and neg pitch will play hell with your fbl unit on spool up. Try putting your collective at mid stick when you spool up...or start your normal pitch curve at about 30%.

yeah, im going to the LHS and returning something so i get in store credit so the blade strike didnt really cost me anything. What should i get with the rest of the instore credit. I will have an extra $10 or so. I am wondering if i should get some feathering shafts? Will the align ones fit the tarot head?

ok, so now one of my servos is clicking very weirdly when the heli is off and is not smooth like the other servos. I have taken it apart (down to the gears) but i dont know what the clicking could be coming from. What should i do?

Your right they do strip easily. Gdawg buy a few sets, there only 3 bucks a set. Its definetly something to keep in your field box. Will i need to upgrade my motor when i install the fbl. would the 420 motor work for now?

What's funny is I've been through quite a lot of stock servos and never had one strip. They just randomly die on me. Extra gears is definitely an option but you might want to consider investing in more durable servos like the hi-tecs.

On the other hand, I got to the LHS tonight and got some gears. I got them replaced and running again. Leveled the swash and now im putting the blade grips back on. Hoping to get a "maiden" tommorow.

I understand that. I don't like dumping too much money into this hobby but I've managed to get a little in return and it's still one of my cheaper crafts. Every time I have a part fail I have HH send me a new one since I can still use them for backups should I destroy my upgrades though I do not recommend mixing servos. Once you stop crashing you can call your crash fund your upgrade fund but it looks like you started off on that track. Congratulations with that! This conversion looks fun but I am sorry to see your mishap. I'm still debating if I want to try this one or not.

The stock motor is okay, but the stock servos are a real pain in the @ss sometimes. I bit the bullet and upgraded a few months back to Hitecs...did not regret the perchase.

Welp, not so good this time either. No damage other than 2 stripped servos.

Here is a video. I am thinking that maybe the tail got caught on the board but i dont know, what else could it be? Now i am starting to think that i should have kept it flybarrerd.
