Default Stock Trex 700E V2 Tail wipping???

I have just started to push my Trex 700E and noticed that in fast forward level flight, when I input full right rudder for a clockwise piro (looking from top) there is a massive delay before the tail whips around. Full rudder to the left is not too bad. Anti-clock wise funnels are impossible, the tail just keeps on blowing out.

I have followed the manual to the letter with regards to tail gain, pot 3 and parameter D. I can't get it right

I have successfully set up my Trex 500PRO no problems. Flys fine.

I am wondering if its the stock Align 105mm tail blades not giving enough authority. Is anyone else successfully running these tail blades? or have a cure. Any suggestions welcome.

Trex 700E V2
AR7200BX
RCM-BL 700MX
Castle Creations ICEII 120HV
Align DS610 cyclics
Align DS650 rudder
Align 3G blades

I am on the v3 DFC with 105s and BX, my tail holds just fine @ 2050. I know what you mean, I feel a slight delay on a prio reversal but I never put any real thought into it. Do you have your tail blades off 0 pitch with 90* on the servo horn? That made a little bit better tail for me on mine. They say to center the pitch slider on the tail shaft not center the blades.

Sorted.

I followed this set up guide and made a huge improvment https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=279967
The rate mode, push rod length was critical. I wish they suggested this in the BX manual.

I also raised my tail gear ration and upgraded to 115mm tail blades to give me nore authority.

It is in the manual.

"If the tail pirouettes and stops unevenly in both directions, it is recommended to set the tail gyro to Normal-Rate mode in order to test, whether the tail will drift in a particular direction during hover. If it does, adjust the tail link rod length accordingly, so that the tail blades have the required compensation pitch. Do not forget, to redo the tail rotor limits (setup menu point E)."

Page 69 of the V3.0.3 manual. Haven't checked if it was in earlier versions, but I think it was.

Cheers

My manual only goes up to page 38. I am looking at the Spekrum AR7200BX manual. Apologies if it metions it in the Micro Beast manual.

Yes, I already saw that you had an AR7200BX, but since you stated that it didn't mention it in the BX manual I assumed that you must be referencing that one. Why it isn't in the AR7200BX manual I couldn't say, but it is known to be less detailed than the MB one. Might be worth downloading a copy of the MB one, since there are many other areas that are covered in more detail, from what I have seen.

Glad you have it sorted. Nwmtech's guide is excellent.

Cheers

Has this issue been corrected? I am interested in knowing what was causing it.

According to post #3 it would seem so, together with an explanation of what was done.

Cheers

Yes it's now perfect. No whiping what so ever. I followed the set up guide accuratly without leaving out any steps. No more blow outs during funnels either. This heli has never flown so good. I'm loving it
