Default How freely should main assembly spin (with no main gear on)?

I rebuilt my main and tail assemblies last night, but noticed that the main assembly was not spinning freely. It's not binding or notchy, but there is no momentum once I take my finger off from spinning the blades.

Is this normal, or a sign of needing new main shaft bearings?

That's what I thought...

Are the stock bearings decent, or is this a good time to upgrade them? ... and if so, what is recommended?

Even with the main gear on and motor engaged, my blades will continue to spin 3-4 times after I let go. Is the tail drive in place? Is the torque tube touching the aluminum spacer in the tail case? Or you could have too tight of a gear mesh at A-B and/or C-D gears.
