JR DS285 Mounting fix!!!

Anyone who has mounted DS285's to their 450 knows the mounting flange doesn't work too well because of the small recess in the mounting tab. I personally don't think it hurts the servo for that tab to flex a bit, and haven't heard of any ill effects, but still, it just bothers me.

I did some searching for a spacer or washer to fill that small gap and found the perfect fit! I found them at mcmaster.com. The part number is 90126A501. They run $1.15 for a pack of 100.

The indentation on the servo is .0240, these washers are .0205 thick. The OD (.219) and ID (.094) are perfect, so they fit perfectly in the recess - with the hole being perfectly centered (coaxial) to the hole on the servo.

Installation - take a small amount of Shoe Goo, tack the washer in place on the servo, then install the servo normally. Easy deal

I used the little plastic nuts that came with the heli.
They fit PERFECTLY in the servo tab holes and don't even rotate due to the flat side on them. They seem to be custom designed for the 285 servos. Or perhaps the 285 servos were designed for the nuts

Either way, they work friggen awesome together.
