Angry Damn noceeums

Nothing like instinctively trying to scratch at a noceeum bite to make your heli go full negative collective into the ground. What's worse is that I saved it the first time and then it bite me almost immediately again and I sent it back into the ground. It's basically a rekit. Luckily I had half the parts stocked. Electronics seem good. Damn it, I had a good no crash streak.

Two words for you...

Bug Spray!

The mosquitoes here have been brutal this spring because of local flooding. Plus I had a bee harassing me the other day while I was flying - buzzing right in my face and line of sight. Almost crashed on that one but managed to save it.

Thumbs down

I got most of her rebuilt. Here's the damage:

Frame
Landing skids
Head
Main blades
Main grips
Several linkages and ball links
Feathering spindle
Tail boom
Tail boom servo mount

Surprisingly the main shaft survived. My tripod leveler slides down it with no problem. The canopy is pretty beat up, but is still usable. I should be back up and running in a couple of days.

The main shaft can still be bent and have a leveler slide down it. It is a 5$ part, seems wise to just replace it. You listed over $100 worth of parts. What is another $5 for the peace of mind and not chasing vibes. 3-5% more seems like a bargain to me.

I did order a set of shafts to be on the safe side, but I am not sure how it could be bent when I can slide a snug leveler down it.
