The 401 is setup a bit differently on the DX7. On the DX7, when you are in the gyro gain screen, anything above 50% is HH mode, anything less than 50% is rate mode. In other words, the 50% mark is like your zero position. less than 50 is negative, more than 50 is positive. So if you try to set your numbers up like in a Futaba and use 28, then you will be in rate mode, not head holding. The 401 must be initialized in in HH mode. Only then will you get a steady red light on it.

I managed a few test hovers today with the Shogin and Teleebee Gyro (align RCE 500)
I ended up with a DX7 tx setting of about 75 and she seemed to hold not bad my flying is still very basic though thanks for all your help and feed back guys, I love this forum! Ben |
