Default Blade 350 QX - highest flight so far - anyone gone higher ?

Didn't get out till nearly dark again, but wanted to go a bit higher, this was about as high as I could clearly see to fly it down if needed, it was windy, (wind from right), so quad is banked over which is why video shows more on left side.

No idea how high this was, I suspect no more than a couple of hundred feet - anyone got a higher video !

I have this on my quad. Easy way to get an AGL reading. http://www.jollylogic.com/products/altimeterone/

We had an eagle tree altitude toy at the flying club a couple of years ago, I won with 834ft I think it was, on a Trex 500, but it was much higher than I was comfortable flying. I've flown a glider with a spotter with binoculars higher, but didn't record it, I am guessing that must have been up to 1000ft (glider flight was for a range test with the original ar6000 dsm1 receiver and DX6i).

Anything above about 200ft you basically cannot see to fly comfortably, but for gopro video/stills the GPS on 350 QX is perfect, am looking forward to see how high people can go, I am guessing the sky is literally the limit !

I was wondering the same thing yesterday, I clicked it into stability mode and punched it until it was as high as I dared that time. It gets hard to tell how fast it's coming down when you start to come down which makes me a little nervous. I actually put it in RH mode and let it bring itself down which worked great. I don't think it got as high as the one in the video though.

I guess you could time it on the way up, say three minutes and then go into RH mode and let it land and see how much battery you use. Then go longer and longer until you use up as much battery as you dare. It seems like it takes me longer to come down than go up.

If you just pull the throttle all the way back, it basically glides down, very controllable. You can still yaw, pitch, roll, etc. It's actually quite fun.

I'm not sure how high, but I'm going to guess around 500 feet, which was good enough to see downtown St. Paul, MN and Minneapolis, MN.
