Jonathan,

Man that looks great! Blade sound is awesome as well. Glad to see the A123's are working for you.
Are you getting longer flight times and more power now with the v-bar setup? Currious if it's true that you gain 20-25% power by using a v-bar system.

Keep it up!
Paul

Default Yes flybarless will give more flight time.

Paul.

I am sure you can get more flight time with flybarless. I have the same effect on Logo 600 where I get more flight time 1mins more on top of 5mins flight on Logo 600 12SA123.

With A123, that is why I go flybarless to compensate for the weight of A123 with much less drap on the head.

With this video, I am bascially still getting 5mins flight time using 450mm as compare to flybar 425mm getting same 5mins flight time all running at 2800rpm. I am sure if I dop to 425mm blade I will increase the flight time.

Take note I realise that I could go slight more then 5mins as I only put back 1983mah back to the 6SA123 pack that I use on the video.

Another angle of the same video

Cool, thanks for the info! I"m currently running 463mm MAH blades with a 15 pinion on 6SA123 and am getting 5.5 minutes. With the longer blades I only need 2350 - 2500 on the head to have crazy power.

I am looking at a V-bar or the new AC-X3 that will be coming out in March here in Germany. It only weighs 20g!

Cheers,
Paul

Paul,

Make sense...I am going to try to drop th epinon to 16T and see how it perform to get more flight time.

The new AC-X3 is 20g, this is a 3 axis gyro, right?
It will need a logic unit to do all the mixing....any idea how that will be? Or it will depend on yur own mixing through tx ?

Apparently it's an all-in-one unit. Here's the link (in German) http://www.eheli-tuning.de/

Very cool.

Is there a swash driver similar to the one Mikado uses that will work on the 500?

I see most people changing to leading edge control on flybarless, does this change the characteristic of the bird?

Thanks

Robert

The radio installation is really not any different than from stock setup with the 5245mg's, Only thing changed is that I moved the ball link one hole inward on the servo horn. thats all.

Here is my v-bar setup attached, it is based on my Logo 500 setup, which again is based on Timo's setup, it works pretty good I think, better than any other setup I have seen on the web so far...you be the judge..
