What are you feeding that thing? Coleman fuel or Pasta? Does that fancy muffler "pull its weight"?

Mine is a few OZ heavier than the ones going out right now.......I'm running RT 700's, 11.0 degrees postive, 1850 on the GV-1.....400 plus foot vertical climbouts, no real loss of headspeed. Payton is feeling the 11.5 degrees pitch on the 5.8 ratio, full bore climbs are dropping from 1800 to 1650 at the top of the ascent. Note he is NOT on a governor at this time.....awaiting the solution from TJ. BTW, STILL love that picture ! |

How is the gasser's sound emission? Our field's restriction is 74 Db for a 2stroke :cry: . I heard they are a lot more quiet, or does it sound as a normal 2stroke heli?

The gas motor with it's stock muffler is fairly loud, but the sound has a much lower frequency. The #4030 MA muffler is very quiet as well as the Bergen unit. I have never tested the actual sound level but the sound is much less bothersome than a glow in a lot a cases (some glow mufflers are very quiet).
Since I have not done or heard of any testing, I cannot tell you the dB levels and could only guess at them. Hope this helps!
