Glad to help, let us know how it works out.

Once you can get it down in one piece on demand in the sim, go for it in real life! Autoing the T500 really isn't that bad. Once you get it down (no pun intended!), it is really fun ... I do them every flight.

I went for it a couple times, but none have been all too successful. I talked it over with a friend of mine and he coached me through a few more steps. As of yesterday, I was nailing it pretty well (on the SIM of course), but I have to wait for the wind to die down around here before I get crazy and try it for real again.
I'll probably do it on the 450 first because it's much cheaper to fix and I don't have any extra blades fo my Atom. Of the auto's I have pulled off, the Atom seems to do it just like a 600 so that will probably be my bird of choice once I get it perfected. I've just never had the confidence to try from more than about 5ft up.

I'll definately share the experience though. Thanks again! Couldn't do it without the SIM practice.

I wouldn't worry too much about wind, rather I would wait until it IS windy. The 500 works really well in autos with wind, just make sure you are autoing INTO the wind. Also, don't let the rotordisc fall below horizontal until you really know how to bring the headspeed up at the bottom. Other than that it should be pretty similar to the sim!

As a new 500 owner, this is MUCH appreciated. One question, do I need 4.5 to run the other color schemes?? I downloaded the gray version in the first post and it works fine it version 4 but I can't load any of the other CS's, Actually they load but don't come up in the "Select Color Scheme" list. The grey color is OK but it's a bit hard to see

Not sure what you mean by grey color. Do you have a screenshot?

Also if you have G3.5 you should only be using the G3.5 model and G3.5 colorschemes (with the .G3X file name, not .RFX).

Cool, glad you figured it out.

You can always flip the dual rates (CH.5 on the InterLink Elite) if you want it to be a bit slower.
