Default 1 part they don't make in aluminum...tail block

I would love to have an aluminum tailblock (I know it would be expensive.....so?). How come nobody makes one.

Would any of you guys want one?

What would be a suitable price for this item? I would think between $150 and $200.

Are you referring to the Tail Boom Case/(Block), part number H60034? If indeed, I reckon that the complexity in tooling and machining make it non releasable for the market.

I have to agree with v1k1ng. It would be heavy and expensive. Especially if you're only gonna do a run of 10-50. Besides, whats wrong with the stock plastic one?
I'd rather see a nice CNC alum lower frame plate. I have 2 custom ones cut on a water jet, but a nice one piece plate that fits perfectly would be great.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question. Do you mean this?

yes you are missunderstanding. That link is a tail case....the other side of the boom is the tail block.

I wouldn't think it would be that hard to make but I'm not a machinist so what do I know.

Bottom plate would be good too....but If I'm going to have an aluminum bottom plate I would also want an aluminum battery plate and gyro mount.

Yep, I could go for an aluminum bottom plate too.

Anybody who works in the industry know what it might cost to have one machined out if say a local machine shop were supplied a CAD file of the part?
