How come the video's don't show up in Firefox or IE?
Perhaps because I am at work and they are blocked? I know youtube.com is blocked here. |

As an interesting side note, did you know Subzzzzzzzzero sold that heli? I wonder who bought it? Hopefully it's still in one piece. As Indy Jones said, "This belongs in a museum!!"

Hello:
I got my fully assembled Belt-CP heli about 4 days ago, I have the following questions: Where should the GYRO switch be set? to nor. or rev.? Where should the GYRO swtich on the transmitter be back or forward (towards me)? this is what is going on when I try to fly it: the main rotors are telted to one side, so I try to balance it with one of the sliders below the other side of the joystick. the heli is lifting from one side and I'm afraid it going to turn oven or fly sideyways, besides that, it's turning in a slow circle... any tips? I appreciate your help... |

RTF Belt CP comes with Rate Gyro, so the switch on Transmitter does not matter where it is located, that is only for when you get the Headhold Gyro.
If you have the Headhold Gyro ... UP is Rate mode Down is Heading Hold mode. Gyro reverse switch. To test if its functioning in the right direction simply turn on radio and heli move Tail counter clockwise and look at the servo arm, it should be pulling the arm Towards the front of the Heli, if it is not then flip the reverse switch so that when you move the tail (by hand) counterclockwise the arm pushes towards the front of the heli.... Heli spinning slowing to one side means the rudder is not trimmed properly and or you dont have enough headspeed as yet for the tail to hold properly. Rotors tilted to one side..... what you need to be looking at is the swashplate.. .it MUST BE LEVEL flat when no stick movement is being made... if its not flat then you must make it so by : First center all trims on your radio Second Adjust link rod length going to the swash plate so that the swash is nice and level. this is all shown in Video #1 in this thread. Once you get that pretty level by eye then your ok to start to try and hover it from there you can trim it out perfectly with the radio trims. My suggestion to you, since Belt CP's RTF usualy come pretty much flyable out of the box i would take that tilt in the blades/swash seriously, it could be a damaged servo. to test this turn on radio and heli, lightly hold the servo arm one at a time while moving the right stick and listen for any clicking sounds from the servo, if you hear or feel any clicking then that servo is damaged. if your confused on how to set up the helicopter after watching the above videos then i suggest you go under the main forum and go to bob finless videos and watch his video's for further instruction.

Hi Wolf,
yesterday I checked all the servos on my Belt CP, they all seem to work with a nice zeeez sound no clicking, I took some pictures, but no video yet, the swash plate might be telted to one side, also I'm comparing between the wiring on my CP and the one video from you above, I think I need to re-arrange somethings to balance the weight, I don't how can I show the picture of my Belt cp on this site. |
