It's not like I can do anything until this product is released.

Sorry dude, I need to have one in my hands to see how it works and potentially see how it works with a tablet before I do anything.
I was hoping that the BUMP would have a display showing ALL the IR values for all the chargers simultaneously. I don't trust parallel charging unless I can see if something is going wrong, because it happens more frequently than I would like. If it doesn't have that feature than I'll need to look at the tablet interface so I can feel safe with all that charging going on. Also if you've seen my design process, you'd know that what I have drawn is just an idea. The final version will likely be very different.

This might be a little off-topic for the bump, but given the recent attention into parallel charging risks, I wonder if the bump software can raise alerts. If you haven't seen the thread its here:
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=717432 I'm no expert in battery chemistry, but the bump opens up a lot more options for communication. Are any of these ideas feasible in the future? - Send charging alerts over Bluetooth - If tablet software is on WiFi, send alerts over email too (can notify your phone if you are outside Bluetooth range) - Warn early if individual cell IR or voltages appear mismatched or unusual? - Track how packs usually charge (as in how much balancing is needed), and alert if that changes? I don't know if there are any early signs you can spot while parallel charging that the charger doesn't already look for, but I figure there are at least some more communication options possible. Maybe Bluetooth temp sensors too?

Just trying to give you a friendly push. Because of the screen size of the Bump Controller the display shows one chargers current data but all other connected chargers can be brought up just by touching their tab # at the top of the screen. Data shown on a tablet depends tablet size and screen resolution. Here is a Samsung tablet with 2-PL8 Duo's charging. Please note this is an early production screen grab and final release app may vary.

Is it a 7 or 10" display ? Is that BT, WiFi or USB ? Do you have all of your controls available through the Tablet, or do you still drive it with the Bump and mostly just view on the Tablet ? What OS version of Android do you need to run the software? The bottom line is that I'm not building anything until I see how the Bump works and if I need a tablet, how that works as well. Once I see how it is operated than I'll have a better idea how to set up the access and visibility of each device. I've already got parts laying around waiting for my Protos V2 kit and for my TDR-2 kit. I'm not going to have a whole charging chassis laying around waiting for guts to fill it too. My design makes the PL8's inassessible, so I can't use any of it until the Bump arrives. Do you have even a guess as to the ETA for the Bump?

How's this?
If Revolectrix is willing to put me on the beta test team and get equipment out to me, I'll start sooner.

What resolution is your Samsung Tablet ?
1600x2560 Is it a 7 or 10" display ? 8.4" Is that BT, WiFi or USB ? BT 4.0/LE connection to the Bump controller Do you have all of your controls available through the Tablet, or do you still drive it with the Bump and mostly just view on the Tablet ? Right now the concentration is getting the Bump controller finalized then work on and refine the APP. But currently you can start/stop, and change charge modes. But the goal is to have the App fully functional in regards to control. What OS version of Android do you need to run the software? My Samsung SM-T700 is running Android 5.0.2 The bottom line is that I'm not building anything until I see how the Bump works and if I need a tablet, how that works as well. Once I see how it is operated than I'll have a better idea how to set up the access and visibility of each device. Understood I've already got parts laying around waiting for my Protos V2 kit and for my TDR-2 kit. I'm not going to have a whole charging chassis laying around waiting for guts to fill it too. My design makes the PL8's inassessible, so I can't use any of it until the Bump arrives. Both very nice Heli choices. Do you have even a guess as to the ETA for the Bump? They are still pushing hard for the end of this year.

Is it safe to assume that a Windows 8/10 tablet will have full Bluetooth capability also with the Bump?

It is probably better that I don't go down that path anyway. I prefer to speak my mind and not have any strings attached.
I have no real need for a tablet otherwise so I'll be curious how little I can get away with that will show me everything I want to see. My wife has an iPad, but I have no use for that either.

I looked there before I asked the question. Says BT through Windows mobile devices, usb through Windows. Big difference between Windows and Windows Mobile OS. I assume would work BT with a full version Windows tablet, just wanted to hear this from a developer.

Yes, the goal is to have full/equal feature support across Android/Apple/Windows. When features get delivered is going to be a function of how difficult they are to implement on a given platform. The UI code will be common HTML/CSS, but lower-level integration will be separate for each OS. |

In order to keep 4x PL8's out of view the BUMP interface needs to be rock solid. I don't want to have to open up a case in order to use my Chargers.
I know that you are still working on it, but how is the stability. Would you trust it if you couldn't touch your PL8's or see their displays?

So far during beta testing I have never had a reason to interact directly with the charger itself. All commands were handled without issue through the Bump controller.
The ability to set up a charge via direct interaction with a preset will be added. But during testing it was easy to work around. For example: one time charge of a 6 S 2600mah pack which does not have a tag. I just grabbed a 6S 5000mah pack bumped it and changed that packs preset charge rate to 1/2C. Close enough to a 1C rate for the 2600mah pack. But it will not be nessary to do this when the BC is updated. The other option would be to set up a tag. Tag costs are cheap and the time to set up a tag would probably be close to adjusting a charger preset.

I would have to believe the Bump controller interface with the chargers is 100% stable since it is hard wired to the chargers, should be even better than the PC CCS software since you don't have the PC to charger adapter.
