Default Looking for a feathering shaft!

Help me fellas! I can't find a feathering shaft ANYWHERE. No LHS has them and apparently Horizon is out of stock until JUNE 8th at the earliest! That is pretty ridiculous. I found someone who had them on ebay but then the guy emailed me back and said he only THOUGHT he had them.

Does anyone have a spare feathering shaft they'd be willing to send me? I will gladly pay you through PayPal. I'm at a really crucial stage with learning and if I stop now for 5 weeks I will totally regress.

I'm in Southern California. Thanks.

Try the one from Align for the T-Rex 450. Per recommendation of the guy at one of my LHS's, I installed one the other week and it works fine, but is a bit longer. You need to add some washers or another o-ring to fill the gaps and make the blade grips even on each side. It's also made of Stainless Steel I believe. Good luck!

Wow, just looked at a few online stores and sure enough, most seem to be sold out. If I go by my LHS any time soon I will see if they have any. I can always use the spares if I pick them up and you have found a solution. But, I am not sure how soon I will be going to the LHS. There is a very slight chance I will go this weekend, but I really need to wait a couple of weeks if I can at all help it. If they were more convenient for me, I would go for you for sure, but it is a good 35 - 40 minutes trip for me.

Bend it straight again. My LHS has been out of them for over a month. I have 4 of them and each one I took my time and flattened them out over a flat bar. I have been flying with a repaired one for over 20 packs. My LHS is also out of tail rotor blades... those are getting a little shabby.

I use needle nose pliers with electrical tape on the plier teeth so I do not damage the surface of the shaft. Good luck.

Those will work. There are two spacers included in that pack, you will need to use them.

Blade Grip(with bearings) --- Step washer ---- Align Spacers ------ Shims (as needed for stiffness) ---- O-ring ----- Block

That is the order to install parts

Since 400 is for demo with my suckers ( buddy, friends, and family ) did I say suckers I meant such a good friends whos been crashing, light crash but feather is the one always needs to replace.
If you couple give me a pm and we'll see what I can do for ya.

But I need to keep at 6 since my LHS are out of shaft as well. and I got 4 of my buddies hooked on it. share the love guys

I did some guys strating is out but it didn't work for me too well so I just buy them.

I use the t-rex 450 feathering spindle i just short'n them to the same as the 400 either with a lathe. Or you can use a drill press as long as the ends are straight. they do not bend as easy as the eflght version. I am hoping that they are back ordered do to eflight changing the metal they are building them out of .

Hey Animal,

Thanks for the tip !! I called Hidden Hanger, and he does have them in stock! He told me he had 4 sets, I snagged 2 sets, so he may still have two left, if you guys need them...

Real nice guy, easy, quick ordering over the phone, great service, said he would ship them out tomorrow!

I don't need them desperately, but at this point in my learning curve, down time is a very bad thing! I always keep in mind, "it's not IF I crash, it's WHEN" !! LOL

Take care, and THANKS, I can sleep better now!
